Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

At Crush, we greatly value privacy. Privacy lies at the heart of our approach to designing and crafting the services and products you cherish, ensuring your complete confidence in them and enabling you to focus on forging meaningful connections.

We deeply value the trust you place in us when entrusting us with your information, and we carry this responsibility with utmost seriousness.

Our dedication to safeguarding your privacy permeates every facet of our product and service development. We engage experts spanning various domains, including law, security, engineering, and product design, to ensure that our decisions consistently prioritize and respect your privacy.

Transparency is another cornerstone of our commitment. Understanding that convoluted language and inadequate information often plague privacy policies, we take the opposite route: we strive to present our Privacy Policy and related documents in clear, straightforward language. We genuinely want you to read and comprehend our policies, thereby grasping our privacy practices fully.

Furthermore, we have dedicated teams solely devoted to fortifying the security of your data. We continuously update our security protocols and invest in robust security measures to bolster the protection of your information.

If you require more information or have any questions about our privacy policy, please feel free to contact us by email at hello@lola.com. We consider the privacy of our visitors to be extremely important. This privacy policy document describes in detail the types of personal information collected and recorded by us and how we use it.

Privacy Policy

Welcome to Crush’s Privacy Policy. Thanks for reading it!

We value the trust you place in us when sharing your information and are committed to maintaining that trust unwaveringly. Our commitment begins by ensuring that you have a clear understanding of the data we gather, the reasons behind its collection, its usage, and your options concerning your information. This Policy elucidates our privacy practices in straightforward terms, minimizing the use of legal and technical terminology.

Where This Privacy Policy Applies

This Privacy Policy pertains to the websites, applications, events, and various other services associated with our Crush brand. To provide utmost clarity, we have included links to this Privacy Policy on all relevant services.

It's worth noting that certain services may necessitate their distinct privacy policies. In such cases, the privacy policy specific to that service takes precedence over this Privacy Policy.

  • It's worth noting that certain web browsers, including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome, come equipped with a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature. This feature signals to a website that a user does not wish to have their online activities tracked. If a website that acknowledges a DNT signal receives such a signal, the browser can restrict that website from collecting specific information about the user's browsing activities. However, it's important to note that not all browsers offer a DNT option, and DNT signals are not yet standardized. Consequently, many businesses, including Crush, presently do not respond to DNT signals.

For example, as you use our service to establish meaningful connections, we use your information to manage your account, make your profile visible to other users, recommend potential matches, and deliver both our free and paid features to you and other users.

  2. Legitimate interests: We process your information for purposes outlined in sections C, D, and E above based on our legitimate interests. For instance, we analyze user behavior on our platform to continually enhance our services, provide you with offers we believe may be of interest, maintain user safety, and enforce our rights. 3. Compliance with applicable laws and regulations: We process your information for the purpose specified in section F above when necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations and to demonstrate our adherence to them. For example, we retain traffic data and transaction data to meet our accounting, tax, and statutory data retention obligations. This also allows us to respond to valid access requests from law enforcement. Additionally, we retain data that confirms user consents and any decisions made to opt-out of specific features or processing.

  4. Consent: If you choose to provide us with information that may be considered "special" or "sensitive" in certain jurisdictions, such as details about your sexual orientation, you are providing your consent for us to process that information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. Occasionally, we may request your consent to collect specific information, like your precise geolocation or the use of your information for particular purposes. In some cases, you can withdraw your consent by adjusting your settings (e.g., concerning the collection of precise geolocation) or by deleting your content (e.g., if you've entered "special" or "sensitive" information in your profile). You have the option to withdraw your consent at any time by reaching out to us using the contact information provided at the end of this Privacy Policy.

How long we retain your information

We retain your personal information only for the duration necessary for legitimate business purposes, as outlined in Section 4 of this Privacy Policy, and in accordance with applicable laws. If you choose to discontinue using our services, you can close your account, and your profile will no longer be visible to other users. It's important to note that we automatically close accounts that have been inactive for two years. Upon account closure, we proceed to delete your personal information, as detailed below:

  1. Safety Retention Window: To ensure the safety and security of our users, we institute a safety retention period of three months following the closure of your account. During this time, we retain your information in case it becomes necessary to investigate unlawful or harmful activities. The retention of data during this safety retention window is based on our legitimate interest, as well as the interest of potential third-party victims.

  2. Post-Safety Retention Period: Once the safety retention window concludes, we delete your data and retain only limited information for specific purposes, as specified below:
    a) Legal Data Retention Obligations: We maintain limited data to adhere to legal data retention obligations. This includes retaining transaction data for ten years to comply with tax and accounting requirements, as well as retaining "traffic data" or logs for one year to meet legal data retention obligations. Additionally, we keep records of user consents for five years to demonstrate our compliance with applicable laws.
    b) Legitimate Interest: We retain limited information based on our legitimate interests. This encompasses customer care records and related data, imprecise location information from downloads or purchases to support customer care decisions, the enforcement of our rights, and our ability to defend ourselves in the event of a claim. We also keep profile data in anticipation of potential litigation, for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, and data necessary to prevent individuals who have been banned or those found to be under the age of 18 from creating new accounts. This retention is maintained for as long as necessary to ensure the safety and vital interests of our users.
    c) Outstanding or Potential Issues: We retain information based on our legitimate interests in cases of outstanding or potential issues, claims, or disputes that require us to keep data. This might include scenarios where we receive valid legal subpoenas or requests to preserve data, which we would need to retain to fulfill our legal obligations, or if the data is necessary for legal proceedings.

We prioritize the responsible and lawful management of your data to safeguard your privacy and adhere to regulatory requirements.
